Easter Buckets

Hello, everyone.  Hope y'all had a great Easter weekend!  Today I would like to share with you a quick and very last minute Easter project. As you know from one of my previous post, I have been really busy with school and family.  So busy, that I totally procrastinated on the whole Easter basket and goodies for my kiddos :(  I was so sure that this year we weren't going to take the kids egg hunting... until my other half told me to 'get crafty,' (easy for him to say ha, ha, ha).
I admit, my mojo wasn't all there so all you IG and Pinterest people, you guys and gals helped me on this one :)  I ended up going to my Michael's and getting a beach pail for all my kids.  The rest was up to my Cricut Explore.

The Bunny was cut at 5.25'' from the Teresa Collins Bunny and Chicks and the names were from Boys Will Be Boys font cut at 2.5" in height.
Everything was all from cardstock glued with my ATG gun!

Kids had a lot of fun and SO fast on looking for those eggs! I wasn't able to get a good picture of all the kids but this one seemed good since the rest were pretty much blurry tsk, tsk.

Throwback Thursday - Flowers

Good morning everyone!  Today I feel like sharing with you a throwback Thursday project from a couple years ago.  Esh, I really can't remember how old this mini project was but it is roughly over 2 years old.
There was a time I was OBSESSED with Prima mini flowers but at the end of the day, let's admit it, they are pretty pricey and add up :(  Don't get me wrong, I still love Prima flowers but I just had to find an alternative to save a bit.  Thanks to YouTube (couldn't remember the original name, sorry but there are a lot of good ones out there) and my trusted Cricut Expression, I was able to whip these out in a decent time!  The best part of it is that I am able to cut out flowers from any color I want!

Items used: Bazzil Cardstock, Hot glue gun, Stickles for added shine, Cricut Expression, and the Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge.

These were soooo cute in real life I think I may have to do these again soon :)

No Breaks!

Good morning everyone!  Well, it has been over a month I haven't posted ANYTHING on here!!!  Super sorry but I do have an explanation and it starts of with being a mom LOL.  No this is not a rant, just a plain explanation of what I deal with on a daily basis :)

As some of y'all know, I am a mom of three. There ages are 9 (Andrew), 5 (Eileen) and 1 (Noah).  They are the peanut butter to my PB&J sandwich :)  They come first above everything, all moms can relate to this, especially when it comes to making them happy.  I do help them with homework as well as taking them to their out of school activities.  Mon, Wed, and Fri my two older ones have Jiu Jitsu practice and Tues and Thurs Andrew has baseball practice.  On the weekend they have either a tournament competition or Andrew has a baseball game Sat and Sun.  They too are busy, but they love to be out there practicing and having fun with their friends.  It is a fun way to spend it with the family while the kids have fun as well.

Besides their activities I am also a full time nursing student.  Mon-Fri from 6am to roughly about 4pm.  Talk about nuts, but that is another passion I have and I made it my goal to be a one of a kind nurse to my future patients.

As for my planning and such, I am still on top of that.  More so since I am busy ALL the time now :)  My Filofax comes in handy there and saves me plenty :)  I think this week fits in the theme of hectic, especially with all the earthquakes we have been having!  Yes, I get terrified but living in California my whole life, we don't have frequent earthquakes that are felt in a somewhat high magnitude.  So far since this past Friday we have felt over 5 and they just keep surprising us.  Some friends of the family have said that they have been feeling one at least every half hour!  It's nuts over here but all we can really do is prepare and TRY to keep calm :)

I really liked how this turned out :)  I do have some pages that are my favorites :)  Do you women and men have pages that are your favorites?

Some of the items I used to decorate.  The giraffes are super cute :)  Target's dollar spot is AMAZING!

DIY: Filofax Dividers and Tabs!

Good evening everyone.  Tonight I would like to share with you a simple do-it-yourself project that I have been meaning to finish.  It has been quite a while since plenty of you planner lovers/ filofaxers have been creating your own planner dividers and I decided to join in... well at least improvise a bit on my part.  I did have dividers before but they were plain, the holes kept ripping on them, blah, blah, blah.  After a while I noticed all those flyleaf sheets which are super cute, but don't really want to get them until I get my A5 sometime later in the year (waiting for Filofax's new line of planners YAY)!  Well after getting upset at my divider pages ripping I FINALLY had enough and busted out my laminator!

This is my YourStory laminating and book binding machine that I have been letting it collect dust for a while until now.

For each month I cut and put together a few of my favorite scrap paper, stickers, and rub-ons.

I love paper so I couldn't just decide on one single pattern so the back side had to be done as well :)

Did the same for the following months as well...

These are the dividers that I have on my Filofax.

For the tabs I used my DYMO and Daiso tabs.  Don't be fooled by the tabs being fold back stickies.  These are pretty sturdy and last a pretty long time plus they come in various colors!

Thanks for stopping by, till next time :)

Twinkle Little Star: Baby Shower Card

Good morning all!  Today I would like to share a card I made using my Cricut and using some inspiration from Pinterest.  Lately I have been addicted to Pinterest!  You can find about almost everything for your planning ideas, parties, hobbies, art, ect.  You name it and Pinterest will probably have a picture for inspiration, I LOVE it :)!  Ok so here it goes:

For this card I printed the song lyrics from Google onto a beige cardstock.   The image is from Cricut's Nursery Rhyme cartridge.

As far as the inside of the card, I left it blank and just added a simple note with a gift card.  Since we don't know what the gender of the baby is, we figured diapers and a gift card would be best :)  Well hope you all liked this and stop by again next time :)

Orla Kiely for Target Sweet Pea Weekender

Hello everyone and happy Valentine's Day! We don't really celebrate love day in my family since we believe everyday should be considered love day. I did start it to call it SAD since I knew plenty single people were without a Valentine. Thus the name stands for Singles Awareness Day ha, ha, ha. Although if you are those people that do in fact celebrate the holiday, I hope you get spoiled rotten :)

Alrighty, for today I would to share my review on this awesome and versatile bag! This bag is also from the Orla Kiely for Target Sweet Pea collection seen here. This is the Weekender bag and it is just super cute. Like the beauty organizer, this bag can also be used for all sorts of things depending on what you would use it for. Some ideas can be for travel, storing crafting supplies, or even be used fo! school. There are plenty of ways to use this! Now I must admit this is my first time using a bag like this for my needs since I was tending to just throw and take out things on my bag depending on where I went blah, blah, blah :)

So why did I get this in the first place? Well first of all, I like to try to be organized as much as I can. Plus, the taking out and putting in was getting a bit too out of hand at times. It is even harder to look for what you need when three little kiddies are running around and trying to get there stuff ready as well. Ok, so back to why I also loved this bag... the colors! The whole Sweet Pea collection bags have a summer/ sunshine feeling to them that make you just smile :) Now there are a couple more bags in this collection but this is the second one I own. I highly doubt I would buy any more since I think I am good with the ones I have but you shouldn't be discouraged to get one of them or all :)

So for me, I got the idea also from Jen (her link on my previous post). Believe it or not this bag surprised me on how much stuff I can fit in here! I LOVE that you can also open this bag flat on its back, two bonuses! The outsides of the bag have some kind of padding on them that make me confident my stuff are secure. For me, I think storing my weekend essentials are the way I am going with this for now (take the name Weekender ha, ha, ha).

As for this side of the bag I think my Filofax and my notebook are good for now. The back notebook is where I keep my checking account transaction record and my kids and soon to be mine school grades :) I do have a 'Project Manager' which I update/ check weekly but I'm still making changes to it that is why it isn't here. You can't really tell what I have in the left little pocket but I store a notepad, an eraser, extra pens/ pencils and of coarse a few post it notes.

For the right side of the bag you can see I store more of the pens and pencils I keep in hand. I love that middle section! On the left of side I store my bible and my bible study notebooks as well as post its. I really hope Wal-Mart comes up with more of those post it note pad things for when they put their school supplies up :)

Ok so overall you why I fell in lust with the Weekender and I know you'll love it too! Remember this is the way I choose to set mine up but it's all up to you. I know in mid March I will take this bag for my little getaway with the man of the house for sure so I may set this up a bit differently or change the way I am using it completely :)

Orla Kiely for Target Sweet Pea Organizer

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by. Today I would like to share my review on the Orla Kiely for target sweet pea beauty organizer bag found in your local Target or here. Now there are plenty uses for it that I can come up with but that depends on what you would use this cutie for. This organizer is made out of really good material and worth it's inexpensive price. I have had my share on plenty little organizers and the quality of them weren't as great as this. For starters, the lining of this is great and has some sort of padding on the covers. You can tell right away it is not your typical 'cheap' material and it is guaranteed to last you quite a while. The light blue tags on the zipper are a really nice shade and quite sturdy. If your like me, I have a really hard time finding organizers/ cosmetic bags that have really flimsy and annoying zippers that end up breaking within hours. These blue tags on them are sturdy and helpful that it would take a lot of yanking to break (not that I recommend but I did test that theory a couple times ha,ha,ha). So lets take a look at what this organizer can be put to use in :)

The colors of it are super cute and vibrant almost like a summer type feeling which I absolutely LOVE. At first I was very much thinking of putting my Filofax and few on-the-go essentials, but later changed my mind. Here is what I originally thought of and what some of you can use if you carry a personal size planner. For this I just put random things I usually use but it all depends on what you use/carry. As you can see the mesh pocket is great for on the go pens, post-its, and even a small notepad for those random note taking moments...

As you can see I just put my Filofax (which fits perfectly) and just the random essential. You can see there is a bit of room for those quick on-the-go planning supplies and more! The other reason why I also love this organizer is because when you open it, you can open it to lay it flat. I don't travel as much but my family like to go on small road trips that pretty much take the whole day. This home-away-from-home is perfect for those long days!

For me, I ended opting for this idea thanks to Jen! You can watch here her Walk-In pharmacy video, which I think is great! Now, mine is not quite as simple because I am always on the go so I need my supplies where EVER I go:) Can anyone guess how many items I was able to fit? Well I don't think I even know but here is a much better picture of the items I use and what I like to carry :)

Yup, it's quite a few stuff :) Thankfully this organizer saved me since all my stuff where just thrown EVERYWHERE in my purse/ diaper bag. My youngest son is still in the age I have to carry a diaper bag so this is just perfect for me to just throw in there! As you can see it has not one but two zippers! I thought this feature was great because if you carry this in your handbag, diaperbag, backpag, or even by itself; you can pretty much open just a small opening in the middle to grab whatever you need! No need to open the whole thing. Did I mention the tags are perfect because they really are! Alrighty, so I have shared my little home-away-from-home organizer. If you have other ways on how to use this organizer, please don't hesitate to share as well :) I would love to see other ideas as well!

Filofax LOVE!

Good evening everyone and welcome to my blog! Now if you follow me on IG you can see some of my previous Filofax décor and other stuff that I love like CRICUT!!! By the way KEEP your calendar posted for tomorrow at 9PM PST and 12amEST for the release of the Cricut Explore on HSN!!! I will confess that I am a bit spectacle of this machine since my Imagine gave out on me in such a short bit of time and it did cost me LOTS of hard earn money. Oh decisions, decisions lol. So far I have only seen good cuts and read good review so I guess I will have to wait for the final decision tomorrow hahaha. So back to my lovely FILOFAX :) Since this week is LOVE week I would like to show y'all how I decorated my filo with a few stickers and washi tape.

The post it note, and LOVE sticker is from the dollar spot at Target :) Most of my post it notes are from Target'sdollar spot. As for the Disney and heart stickers, they are from the party section at Wal-Mart. Well thanks for stopping by and come by again soon :)
